Interesting work. I like the Chained Kama and the Hair has some interesting properties to it.

The chained Kama was inspired partially by Nnoitra off of Bleach, he had a similar chain on his Halberd. The Handle had a more middle eastern design, Indo-Persian feel to it, and the rings on the blade are a Chinese element added in to it for design. The reason I drew the Kama was because in that position she would have looked very strange without something to hold.

On the hair I was just trying to make it look like ears.

The reason I draw pokemon in this manner is because I can't draw cartoony designs in the show, and if I try to draw them animal like I loose the individuality of the character because they end up too animal like, if I draw them too human they can no longer be recognized as a pokemon, so I try to meet in the middle as much as I can when drawing the individual(in order to show the unique traits of the character), but for pokemon as a whole I draw them just as animals.
What I usualy do is modify the person's body to resemble the pokemon's, for this I made the arms more slender, the body straighter and longer than normal; then there are small details like, claws, hair, and teeth(actually inspired from D-roy's teeth off of Bleach).
